Are you looking to see something amazing over the next few weeks? Well, head on over to the Louisville Zoo and see their Wild Lights exhibit. Running now through July 26th (2026).

Many “Chinese Lantern”-style exhibits are spread across the zoo. These range from colorful butterflies to a grand Chinese dragon and many things in between. In addition to seeing the lights, there are performances and unique food selections available.

Tickets start at $20 for adults, with discounts for seniors and children. These are timed tickets where you pick a specific date and entry time, starting at 7 pm. Tickets are available Thursday through Sunday. Any Time, tickets are also available to give you flexibility. This is a rain-or-shine event, making the Any Time tickets helpful if the weather is iffy, or if something comes up and you need to find an alternative date. Regardless, you will also need a $7 per car parking ticket as well. Tickets are available at the window, but you will find lower prices with advance purchase.

While you can get tickets for as early as 7 pm, the sun is currently setting around 8:30 pm. The colors really start popping after it starts to get dark.
